6.  Option (i) Career List

ETCC searches a database of hundreds of careers demanding different levels of aptitudes and interests and sends back to the CGC a list of 15 Careers for each Student that best match his/her mix of interests and aptitudes and an inspiring message that will motivate him or her to go on to the next stage of meaningful and fruitful course selection and/or job application.

6.  Option (ii) Comprehensive Report

ETCC sends back to the CGC a comprehensive report for each student, explaining the Rationale of the Career Fit Series (C.F.S.); giving an extensive list of careers followed by a refined one of 15 careers that best match his/her mix of interests and aptitudes and an inspiring message that will motivate him or her to go on to the next stage of meaningful and fruitful course selection and job application.

AND 7.

The CGC then sits down with each Student and – using his/her career guidance expertise, knowledge of the student and the local area 

• further refines the list of 15 careers provided by ETCC to a list of 5
• advises the Student to go off and think about the 5; arrange them in order of preference; decide whether to seek out a FAS, Failte Ireland, Teagasc, FETAC, FAS, PLC, IT Level 6 Course or other that leads directly or indirectly into those careers and complete whichever one he or she gets on 
• or – if immediate study is not an option - to send a persuasive CV – highlighting the career recommended professionally – to prospective employers locally, nationally and abroad.
