Coping Strategies for Secondary Students

A PSHS programme for managing stress, improving behaviour and developing study skills.  This interactive resource is based on the work of the late Dr Chris Madden.  His research with teenagers found that they had eight styles of coping with pressure ranging from positive strategies such as self care and problem-solving to negative styles such as denial and acting out.  This book focuses on three important themes that cause problems for teenagers: stress, behaviour and study.  This resource will help teenagers to understand positive and negative responses to the challenges of teenage life.  The programme includes discussion, card games and activities related to: Making choices; positive and negative responses; implementing choices; consequences of their choices.  Copiable teacher resource isbn 1904315399.
