For Whom Anybody in Industrial, Commercial or Public Service Organisations or Private Practice whose work includes the Selection and Appraisal of Staff; the Identification of Graduates with Management Potential; the Appraisal of Individuals with Specific Skills or Aptitudes; the Design of Career Planning Programmes; the Preparation of Staff for Down-sizing or Retirement. Qualification Successful completion of the course entitles participants to obtain a British Psychological Society Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing (Level A). Participants who successfully complete the course may purchase, administer, score and interpret a wide range of interest inventories, aptitude and general ability assessments and may proceed at a later stage to other training courses leading to a qualification in the use of Personality Inventories. Course Content Introduction to Testing in Selection: Different Types of Tests: How Tests fit into the Selection and Development process: How to Administer and Interpret Tests: Choosing Appropriate Tests: Statistics: Test Construction: Test Validation. Some evening work/revision will be necessary during the course and a portfolio to be submitted within 12 weeks of the course completion date.
